The microwave base cabinet puts your microwave at counter height with a dedicated opening (27"W x 16"H) sized for standard built-in or countertop microwaves. One drawer below the microwave compartment provides storage for microwave-safe dishes, popcorn, or anything else you reach for when you're reheating. At 30 inches wide, it fits into a standard base run without special framing. The drawer rides on a 5/8" dovetailed solid wood box with undermount full-extension soft-close glides. Same 1/2" plywood construction throughout.
